Used this for my 2003 Tahoe with the non flex … Used this for my 2003 Tahoe with the non flex fuel 5.3. Was the same as the D1846A but cheaper, and the label showing D1846A was covered by this part number. Made in Mexico. Use a harbor freight 27mm, theyâre $4. Took about 2 hours including pulling out tools and putting them away. It was much easier to install after you know whatâs going on. My old sensor was leaking and my gauge cluster showed max 80 psi.
This unit failed within 100 miles. This part was installed properly using an oil pressure sending unit socket. This unit failed within 100 miles of having been installed when the center portion detached on one side from the outer portion and it allowed 1 1/2 quarts of new Mobil 1 5W-30 motor oil to spew, under pressure, all over the rear of my engine and firewall before I could get the truck pulled over into a safe area to park. TOTAL JUNK!!! Used this to replace faulty unit in 2000 C5 Corvette, this unit lasted 45 miles!!! and the oil pressure gauge is reading 80 and oil leaking from the sender. Please do not under any circumstances purchase this as a replacement. Buy the BWD S4202 it’s much higher quality. You can thank me later. 😉
