2 of 6 plugs failed – purchased from unauthorized seller on Amazon I bought 6 of these plugs for my 2013 BMW X3 35i. My vehicle was running just fine, but I decided that I wanted to do some preventative maintenance, so I installed them. After driving 20 miles, I realized my vehicle had a misfire, which I could feel while waiting at a red light. As I took off, I didn’t really feel it again until I got to the next red light, and the misfiring got worse. From there, I headed home, and by the time I got there, my vehicle was in limp mode. Spark plug broke in half. Not much to say except for that the spark plug broke in half when torquing to specification. I thought i was going to have to remove the head to get this fixed, fortunately it came out using other methods.Other than that these spark plugs work as intended, if you don’t receive a faulty one.
They are a spark plug I am a laymen, i cannot define performance, power, mpg or longevity in any tangible means, much like many of the other reviewers though they purport vague feelings of the vehicle. (“…my truck hates these plugs…”) i can’t imagine one brand of sparkplug definitively being better than another, or operating in one vehicle brand more efficiently over another vehicle brand. Having said that, copper, platinum & iridium do each have their place in technology standards, but the ability to…
