Excellent upgrade for your 5.3 Power increases you can really feel in the seat of your pants. Some reviewers state that it runs fine without a tune. Maybe so, but still, GET IT TUNED! You will have MUCH better results! I had mine tuned by Black Bear and it pulled noticeably harder than without the tune. Awesome cam for the 5 Awesome cam for the 5.3 in my Datsun. On an otherwise stock engine car made 328hp / 336tq to the wheels (see dyno photo.) really woke the engine up and car has fantastic midrange and higher end power but is still extremely streetable. However, this cam will require tuning. My car would not hold an idle until tuned – but now idles very nicely. Love this cam for my setup
