This Door Edge Protection Film is a very durable, self-healing, 8 millimeter thick clear coated urethane film that helps preserve your vehicle’s finish. It helps protect against chips, abrasion and weathering–including stone chipping, door dings, and most types of environmental damage. It is virtually invisible and clear-coated to help make it resistant to yellowing and staining. Once applied, no special care is required. The application is permanent. Recommended installation will require the use of a hair dryer (or heat gun). Clear paint protection film is more flexible and rolls around the edge of the door best when warm. We recommend cleaning the door surface before installation with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. After installation, wait 24 hours before taking your vehicle through a car wash. To help insure a successful install, we provide detailed installation videos. Frequently Asked Questions Can I use wax over Door Edge Protection Film? Yes. When waxing the vehicle, some wax may build up along the film edges. This can easily be removed when dry with a soft cloth. Do not use any waxes containing dyes or waxes that are not recommended for urethanes. Abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds are not to be used. How is Door Edge Protection Film removed? If desired, film can be removed at any time by picking up a corner of the film and pulling the film off the vehicle surface at a 90-degree angle. If the film has been present a long time, or if the film and vehicle are cold, a heat gun or hair dryer may be used to soften the adhesive and making it easier to remove the film. If any adhesive remains on the vehicle after removal of the film, it can be removed by using an auto body adhesive remover. If Door Edge Protection Film is removed from the vehicle, can it be re-used? No. Once the film has been applied and set, the adhesive will not stick a second time.

Worked pretty good with some practice. Pretty slick. Take your time and make sure the surface is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Make sure to buy a small spray bottle (I went to a beauty supply store) and fill it with 25 percent iso alcohol and the rest water. Follow the directions included and it shouldn’t be that hard. I found that the solution evaporates quickly so keep spraying it as you go. Also, the tape lays down nicer and is easier to work with if it is not stretched. Stretching should only be needed for curved areas. If the area is…

Good product Watch the YouTube videos and don’t stretch it much. It goes on well and is good quality that should protect the paint from light to moderate dings when YOU open YOUR door and accidentally hit something. It won’t help if you throw your door open hard and hit something hard but YOU control that. I’m glad i got this as it is a luttle wider than other similar products.
