Special Note: For ’07-’08 Pontiac Grand Prix’s – the DRL on these years is the headlights which is no good for HIDs. The DRL is designed to supply a lower voltage to the stock lights and accomplishes this lower voltage by (according to stuff I’ve read) very quickly switching/phasing the normal 12volts. This leads to flickering in the HID headlights (which is easily fixed with capacitors) or a loud quickly clicking relay with this harnesses. I tried a better relay with the same results. I eventually wired the relay for the harness to the parking lights and the LED halos to the regular headlight connectors. So, now the HIDs only come on at night with the ALC (automatic light control) or when lights are manually turned on. And the LED halos are now the DRLs.
