A Complete Air Delivery System

K&N 63 Series air intake systems completely replace the factory air intake assembly with an aerodynamically engineered tube and an oversized conical air filter. Most systems come with a heat shield to isolate cool air taken in by the engine. They take about 90 minutes to install and are designed to deliver huge increases in power and acceleration that you will feel on your next drive.

Better Sound and More Power You Can Feel

You’ll smile at your car’s new sound. A K&N 63 Series air intake system will make your car growl when under acceleration, yet stay quiet once at speed. You’ll be thrilled when you feel the increased acceleration and horsepower. Each intake system designed by K&N is tested for durability and power improvement. From vibration stands to dynamometers, to over the road testing, K&N intake systems go through rigorous requirements.

How High-Flow Technology Works

How does the K&N 63 intake series increase horsepower? By eliminating airflow obstruction in your engine. Restriction of air flow between an air filter and an engine robs even the most powerful engine of horsepower. K&N air intake kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the standard air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered conduit drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into power. This conduit begins with an oversized conical high-flow air filter. This larger filter can fit into the engine compartment using factory holes and mounting points because it replaces your stock intake tube, and air box. This provides more airflow at lower restriction than a standard filter, limited by the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt, increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is also isolated from high engine temperature by a heat shield designed to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine, which increases horsepower. The filter attaches to a rotationally molded tube made from nonmetallic interlaced high density polyethylene (HDPE). This allows for precision shaping of the tube to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. This is why some K&N tubes have unique shapes or indentations that are specifically engineered for each engine configuration. Finally, the tube is connected to the engine with adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. Put all this together and you have the best high-flow intake system available today.

The kit arrived packaged very well with no damage. The parts appeared to be very well constructed. The instructions were a little vague on what hardware to use for certain parts of the install. These could have been better. After figuring out what hardware to use where, I was very impressed with how well everything fit. Throttle response is noticably improved. This intake is loud at wide open throttle and is not for everyone. The sound is not obnoxious, but there is a night and day difference over the stock setup. It compliments my cat-back exhaust very well. Great intake kit and I reccomend this over the others on the market if you are looking for a quality piece and don’t mind the sound.

I bought the K&N 63 Aircharger for my 2010 Tundra 5.7L. I was going for the K&N 77 but wasn’t too sure if the metal would make a different sound and was $40 more, so I went with the K&N 63. I am not disappointed! The sound is excellent from the start of ignition to the acceleration on the highway. The engine roars when I accelerate and does make a winding sound(kinda like blowing through a tube) I think the winding noise comes from the edge trim on the heat shield. When the air intake sucks the air in, the gap in the trim acts like a tube. I heard it when I was installing the trim on the heat shield before installation. I was thinking of sealing it with some type of adhesive but the noise doesn’t really bother me, it sounds like a turbo charger. It was easy to install only trouble was getting the bottom bracket installed on the hose to the heat shield only because you can’t see it but all in all it was an easy intall( about 2 hours). As for the mpgs, I did notice that the computer on the Tundra was avg 18.9 mpg up from about 16.9-17.5 mpg before the installation. I checked it when I filled up with gas and it was right on the mark…THATS 2 MPG!!! I am very happy with this product. I am definitely going to intall K&N air intakes on all my vehicles from now on.

Install..install was simple. Just make sure the maf sensor is placed back the right way, this will cause truck to bog down.
power.. the power is noticeably an increase.
Gas.. paying for its self, I have gained a about 2 miles in the city, highway is about 3 miles..

I am very happy with this product. The noise is a bit loud when you accelerate, I happen to like the rumbling an whistling. Quick delivery as requested…..
