This is a winner for tropical climates. Recommended for tropical climates / desert climates I installed this thermostat on my 1998 Dodge Durango with a 5.2L, I always had an annoying problem during the summer in Florida, the engine driven HD clutch was constantly engaging at 100%, making an unbearable noise, with increased fuel consumption. There was nothing wrong with the engine and its cooling system; the engine did not overheat at any time. After I installed this high flow thermostat, the fan now works more freely, the fan noise has decreased substantially, and the…
Same as the ACDelco 12TP1E (ACDelco just reboxes the Motorad!) Bought this for my 94 K1500 with 350 TBI engine. I usually prefer to stay with AC Delco parts in my truck but I thought I would try this out as it looks the same as ACDelco 12TP1E I have used before. I actually bought the Motorad an a ACDelco 12TP1E at the same time and compared them. Sure enough they are the same, the AC Delco one even has the Motorad stamped on it! So to save yourself some money and still get a quality part buy the Motorad 2000-195!
