Introducing the street fire value-line brand of MSD ignition. Street fire components offer a quality designed alternative to the bottom bargain parts that are springing up all over. We’Re so assured with the quality of our new street fire HEI distributor that we provide a one year warranty with it. We know the importance of a centrifugal advance in a distributor so our engineers made sure that the street fire receive an advance assembly with coated weights and welded weight pins (not just pressed in like other models). Another area that you cannot afford to scrimp on is with a distributor gear. The street fire is fit with the same gear that is used on our pro-billet models. The metallurgy of this gear has been refined for years to perform through the harshest conditions. Inside, the ignition module and coil work together to produce a stout spark to light the fuel mixture for great performance.

Thought it would be better. Honestly it’s not any better than a GM Performance licensed Proform HEI distributor. Doesn’t come with stickers! The vacuum advance isn’t adjustable. It pulls about 22 degrees mechanical advance out of the box. I pulled the module, rotor, and cap assembly off and put it on the Proform unit. There’s nothing wrong with it… But for the price you should get more.
9 months of light use in my bone stalk pickup and this thing died. 9 months of light use in my bone stalk pickup and this thing died. Left me on the side of the road. Amazon wont warranty is. I’ve been battling MSD’s antiquated call center for over an hour now, hung up on twice and as far as I can tell I will be responsible for return shipping. DO NOT BUY THIS! MDS’s brand my have once been good but now it’s just Chines junk and they don’t sand behind their product.
Junk Finally went to go install this, ran like crap, pulled back out and there was some sort of blue bushing in the reluctor wheel. Removed and now magnets hit. Never had a problem with MSD before. Really disappointed. Upon further inspection it looks used.
