   This CAI arrived 3 days after ordering it and was well packaged. I inspected it and all the parts where present. I am fortunate enough to have a friend that has the exact same (aside from color, his is black, mine is blue) pickup truck I do (2012 GMC Sierra SLE Crew Cab, 4.8 4×4 Short bed) Our trucks are equally matched, and from a dead stop to the end of our run (about 1/3 of a mile) we stayed neck and neck for 3 races with no real clear winner. The install went easily enough, I am fairly mechanical so the instructions were really only a reference anyway. IF YOU ARE NOT MECHANICALLY INCLINED do not worry, this is a really simple swap out and the instructions, despite not being particular good, will get you through just fine, if not, youtube. Total time took about an hour and a half, and that was only because I took my time. It could easily have taken 45 minutes. Anyway, installed it, drove it, and noticed a throatier sound right away. The real test was racing my buddy in his truck. Make no mistake, a CAI will not turn your pick-em-up truck into a lambo, but, in 3 races, I was a good 5-8 feet ahead of him by the end. Not much, but enough to tell the difference, and for 150 bucks its worth it. On a side note…get a prefilter, or “hydroshield” for the cone filter. I know with where my intake is there is almost no chance of water getting in, but, considering how fatal (and expensive) hydrolocking is to an engine, the extra 30 bucks is a small price to pay for the added peace of mind. FTR I do not race my truck, I drive it gingerly, I just like having some extra get-up if I need it. But since my bud has the same truck it makes for a nice comparison. (And racing is fun too)

   Easy to install and noticed a little bit of difference in airflow. It also came with pretty detailed insrtuctions that were very helpful.
