Installed this and a K&N cold air intake on my 2006 Avalanche. Easy set up, mileage went from 17.3 mpg to 22.4 mpg when I am running the Economy setting on the programmer. When I have the prorammer set to Performance mode, my truck gets up and goes!!!! Very pleased.

This will give you more power. The only issue that I need to look in to is that it makes the tranny shift reall hard. Not shure if firmer is better just curious to find out. I hooked it up to my 2007 chevy Tahoe LT 5.3l flex fuel. When it hard shifts the front end of my truck lifts up a little like a muscle car when it shifts up.

|Nice features…but too pricey,
I put this on my 2007 NBS Silverado LT1 Ext. Cab 4×4 with the 4.8L.
I’ve previously installed a K&N filter, Airaid intake tube and then the SuperChips Flashpaq tuner with the 87 performance tune loaded. It definitely has more power with the 91 performance tune, but not willing to spend extra for 91 gas. I also now have a Super 50 Series 53057 muffler added to the stock exhaust. Everything else is stock.
I purchased the SuperChips b/c it was the only one in that price range that changed the trans shift points. It took about 15-20 mins the first time to save the stock program and then load the SuperChips program. (Make sure you go first thing to their website and download the most recent updates to your vehicle. Before you start uploading to your truck, have all your doors closed, lights/radio/etc off.)
My truck does shift and run better now. It definitely has more throttle response and the engine seems to labor less. As far as better fuel mileage, I’ll try and provide an update once I’ve run a few tanks through it (and learned to keep my foot out of it).
