The SYLVANIA SilverStar High Performance Halogen Headlight delivers a brighter and whiter light. SYLVANIA achieves this using a specially design filament, propriety gas mixture as well as a lamp coating that shifts the color temperature towards a whiter light. The combination of downroad, sideroad, and white light produced helps the driver achieve more clarity during night time driving. More clarity can improve contrast and object visibility such as street signs and road hazards.

Disappointed These don’t seem nearly as bright as the Xtravision units I replaced. I actually thought the XtraVision lights were pretty good and was really looking forward to the “increased clarity” of the SilverStars. And the kicker is the SilverStar life is expected to be MUCH less than the XtraVision. 150 hours vs. 850 hours for the Primary Filament (Low Beam?), and 50 hours vs. 200 hours for the Secondary Element (High Beam?) (see photo). All that and they cost a good bit more. Other than…
Very good. Like them.Smooth well balanced beam with good distance. These are sealed 12.8 v, 40/60 low/high beam. The light is neutral white and pleasant to the eye bright enough but not disturbing the oncoming traffic.Much better that those generic GE lights sold in yellow boxes at the stores.I would buy again.Have in mind that your light assembly must be well adjusted for hight and sides if you want the best beam performance ot these lights or any other in that matter.
blinded by the light its true there is more to see at night than just the 10 feet that I’m used to seeing infront of me. the world makes more sense now. because of these lights i can do long division now. without using my toes.they came fast and well packaged, did I mention how great it is to see at night finally.
