Perfect fit foe my 5.7 liter 2000 Pontiac Trans Am Perfect fit foe my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am. Noticed that the description did not mention if gaskets were included, so I ordered a full gasket set. Turns out MY order included ALL the needed gaskets so i returned the second set.Easy install (at least on the T/A) and is running great. Live in the Phoenix area and was running a steady 85 MPH at 118 degrees outside with the A/C blasting at max and never got over 210 degree coolant temp.
Doesn’t last. I’ve bought 3 of these water pumps. I put the first one on my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am last year. 10,000 miles and the shaft seal was already leaking. I replaced it with another one and so far it’s working. I also put one of these on my 1999 Pontiac Trans Am. I put 1500 miles on it and the shaft seal is leaking. No info on how to do a warranty claim so I guess I’m buying another pump but definitely not this one.
