This cylinder works in a ’74 Nova Hatchback too! In the process of restoring my ,74 Nova hatchback I ended up having to replace the hatchback lock cylinder. The old one got jammed and I could not get the key out. Something to keep in mind is that the hatchback has a different bar that goes from the back of the lock cylinder into the latch assembly so you will need to save that if you are installing this in a hatchback model. Works great. Very heavy duty Works great. Very heavy duty. The clip that it comes with will not necessarily work on your car. So be careful to keep the stock clip until you verify they are the same length. I threw mine out and had to force the one it came with as far as I could then put in screws so It couldn’t back out. Other then that its great.
The GM dealer had a hard time changing the springs … The GM dealer had a hard time changing the springs and pins to match my keys. The ended up using parts from my old lock cylinder to make this assembly work correctly They claimed these locks are knock offs???
