Real ACDelco coil at a good price I don’t know how to tell a great coil from one that just “does the job” without cutting it open – and I am not cutting a new coil open just to have a peek. 12v Ignition coil I bought this because I converted my car from a 6v to a 12v. This coil does not have an internal resistor so you will need a ballast resistor. I knew that before buying it and it works just as it should along with the external resistor.
I immediately noticed better idle, smoother throttle response and improved driveability not … I had a problem with hard starting of a big block Chevy engine when hot. I found the issue to be the MSD Blaster 2 coil. Once I switched to the AC Delco coil, I immediately noticed better idle, smoother throttle response and improved driveability not to mention no more hot starting issues.
