Worked fine on my 06! Bought this Sept 26 2011. The fit with the hood is close but that makes sense if you want to increase flow under a stock hood. I havent had any issues with hood damage in 2 plus years.
AFE Cold Air Return I ordered and installed this item on my 2005 Corvette. When I went to close the hood it pressed against it but the hood would close. I trusted the mfg’s statement that it fit my car. 2 weeks latter I have a stress crack in my hook in the middle near the front window. The chevrolet dealer told me that the pressue from the device on the hood put extress stress on the connections on each side which put stress at the weakest point which is the middle of the hood.
