  1. Five years later, still going strong Bought mine in October 2011 to keep the battery in my convertible trickle-charged when I store the car for the duration of the harsh Maine winter. The car and the tender sit in an unheated garage. So far, over five winters, I’ve had zero issues. The reason for subtracting one star is because the manufacturers plays warranty games. If something goes wrong with the product, you have to pay to send it back, pay some more to have it “evaluated,” and if you’re particularly…

  2. Pure junk Up until a couple of years ago, these were advertised as being waterproof, nowadays they are advertised as IP67 in the packaging but upon review of the operating instructions, it states that this should never be exposed to rain or snow. This is because it is cheap Chinese made junk that breaks when you least need it to.They were probably getting so many warranty returns that they started denying claims if the end user stated that it was left outside.Deltran is…

  3. May cause fire I bought two of these about a year ago and they seemed to work okay. Recently I saw a bulge develop in the seam of one (the newest).I unplugged it to use the boat and when I plugged it back in there was a puff of smoke. I checked all connections and plugged it in again. This time was a pop, more smoke and a small fire. I’m glad I was there or I could have lost the boat. I know it is way out of warranty butthey should not be dangerous. I will check the other for bulges.
