Brighens things up for a short time. Never came close to the 50,000 hours. REVISED REVIEW: Suggest that you do not buy these. Bought mine on 02/13/17 and rarely drive my car at night and the lights fell apart. See photoGreat lights. Removal of the plastic lens is why I purchased the plastic trim removal tool set. That was also a great tool to have. When you install them leave your lights on so you can see that the lights work as there really is a way to put them in correctly. I had to pop off the lens and redo.
