C7 Corvette Stingray / Z06 / Grand Sport 2014+ BMS Performance Replacement Air Filter by Burger Motorsports

Aftermarket intake performance with the convenience and stealthy appearance of a replacement drop-in filter!

After racking up thousands of miles on an ill-fitting and visually unappealing aftermarket C7 Z06 intake we decided there had to be a better way. Careful review showed the factory air intake piping and MAF housing outflow aftermarket piping, but the factory filter and how it mates to the factory MAF housing creates a significant restriction.

To address this problem with the factory filter we designed a replacement filter that has a thinner and less restrictive base to better mate up to the factory MAF housing, kept the filter DRY to avoid possible MAF oil contamination, and using a flow bench optimized the filter material, pleats, and other dimensions for maximum performance and filtration.

The net result was a drop in filter that offers 15% less restriction than factory and 10% less restriction than the “leading” aftermarket drop in filter, when flow tested through the factory intake piping. Back to back dyno testing against the stock filter and an aftermarket intake verified the same or improved performance levels when keeping all other variables (air/fuel, timing, starting temps) consistent. Due to the higher flow nature of this replacement filter tuning changes may be required for some applications.

  2. No Magic over the $60.00 reuseable K&N on a base A8. Ran it at the strip on two occasions with no improvement over the $60.00 reusable washable K&N filter. This is a over $100.00 throwaway filter. The rubber end cap is not molded very uniformed to the pleated filter media. The filter does fit nicely in the OEM filter housing. The problem with the OEM housing is that it is a very tight fit with very little clearance for the filter to breath freely. I do not understand why this Burger was made with such a huge rubber end cap that takes away having…
