The perfect knob for your shaft! This is the shifter knob that Corvette should have provided from the factory for the C5 cars. the knob is well weighted and has a nice fit and finish as would be expected from Hurst. The knob is a plastic resin and has a brass threaded insert for mounting, there is also a small nut for tightening the knob on the threaded shifter shaft. Would recommend you put a bit of lubricant on the shifter threads to ease installment, and go to You Tube for instruction on removing the “T” bolt found inside your stock shifter knob. Easy install and great fit, I am very pleased with this purchase.
Not sure if mine arrived pre openend but it only … Not sure if mine arrived pre openend but it only had the shift ball, i could not get the numbers to line up correctly. i wound up machining a small vanity ring out of a stainless nut to jam the knob against. All in all the shift ball it self is high quality.
