Excellent but…. 2008 VW, turned off factory DRL and replaced with these. Not understanding the complexity of the CANBUS, had to purchase another item to auto turn on/off the lights. Lots of trial and errors. After 2 weeks got it to work the way I want. Hint: I purchased âJDMTOY (1) LED Daytime Running Light Automatic On/Off Switch Controller Module Boxâ and the ACC power from engine fuse box should use 10 or lower. These LEDs will sense the smallest wattage and will leave a ghosting effect.
Bright Driving Lights This daytime lighting kit is very easy to install because all of the wiring is complete with easy to use connectors. It only took me 20 minutes to install and they look and work great. The kit is complete with installation parts. The only part that I added was two wire connectors..
Not Like an OEM DRL The DRL light was okay. It wasn’t very bright and the light color changes depending on the angle. It’s nothing compared to the OEM DRLs now on Mercedes, etc.The real problem is not with this light specifically, but with all aftermarket DRLs generally. They are all 6W and are just not very bright. I sent these back and ordered 18W 7″x1″ U-Box light bars. U-Box are REALLY bright. So, I ordered a PWM LED dimmer to adjust them appropriately. When I’m done the U-Box light bars…
