Great filters. Great quality as expected from K&N. Fits my 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.8 perfectly. The AC Delco filters are made in China and the K&N filters are made in the USA. The K&N filters are made from a heavier steel and will withstand higher pressure. The K&N filters are painted and look nice while the AC Delco filter has no paint and the welds at the nuts look like they were done by an 8 year Chinese kid.
Prepare beforehand! Perfect in every way other than the script on the filter faces upside down on my application. Not a big deal. Make sure that you will not have fuel siphoning from the fuel tank while changing this out. Either clamp the lines or remove the fuel pump fuse/relay and run the engine until it stops, ensuring no fuel in the lines. I always trust K&N to make a good filter.
Easy install and working fine. Hopefully this will perform as well as the NAPA filter it replaced. The gas inlet screen had failed in a tank with sand in the bottom, that in turn ruined the fuel pump. The in line filter kept that ground up grit from getting to the fuel injector assembly. It was really disturbing to see have much mud came out of the inlet side of the prior filter when I removed it.
