Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz.

LUBEGARD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) PROTECTANT is for use in all automatic transmissions and manuals requiring an ATF, including heavy duty transmissions, such as Allison. Use with all synthetic or mineral based DEXRON, MERCON & OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) ATF’s (except Ford Type F ATF & CVT applications). Lubegard controls heat and is especially effective in today’s hotter running front wheel drive vehicles. It contains LXE (Liquid Wax Ester) Technology and their derivatives, base oils and conventional additives. Lubegard is designed to raise the thermal and oxidative stability level of automatic transmission fluids, so when it operates at elevated temperatures, it does not thin out and pyrolize, burn or react with oxygen and form deposits. The use of LUBEGARD ATF Protectant will not cause clutch friction upset or slippage. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: For normal applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) per quart (Liter) of ATF to the total transmission capacity (including torque converter) with motor idling in park. Do not overfill.

  1. but nothing close to what I considered good shifting. I heard about this product from a … I recently purchased a ’07 Honda Odyssey with around 150k on it. The gear was shifting ok during the upshifts but was shifting really hard during down-shifts, especially when coming to a stop. I did 3 ATF changes to flush the AT, and the original fluid was indeed brown-ish in color and smelled a bit burnt. After 3 changes I did notice a slight improvement, but nothing close to what I considered good shifting.I heard about this product from a forum and I was skeptical just like many…

  2. LUBEGARD is the real deal. 5+ STARS Recommend Folks LUBEGARD is the best additive for transmissions period. Perfect for maintaining your transmission in perfect working condition. Add to new transmissions for peak performance and longevity. I was starting to have minor issues with my 2010 mountaineer 5r55s transmission. A hash reverse engagement every now and then. Added 2 bottles and within 100 miles issue gone. Folks lubegard is one of the only additives recommend by vehicle manufacturers (Google it) that says something about this…

  3. My MDX Loves the Stuff – Very Impressed! The transmission in my 2006 MDX with 150K miles was starting to develop a rough shift in all gears and minor 5th gear torque converter shudder. Did the 3 bottles of Honda trans fluid changes two times with no improvement. And then on the third and final dump and fill added about 8 oz of lube gard red with the new Honda fluid…WOW trans shifts buttery smooth and shudder is gone – took about 10 miles of driving. Couldn’t be happier….here’s to hoping for another 150K on this trans!
