Michigan Motorsports CAGS Bypass Skip Shift Eliminator Fitment for T56 Kit LT1 LS1 LS2 LS3 LS6 LS7 Corvette C5 C6 Camaro Firebird Trans AM Applications

Product Features

  • Skip Shift Eliminator CAGS Kit
  • CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Selector) disable kit. This small little connector set plugs inline with your engine harness at the transmission to disable the skip-shift feature of your transmission.
  • The skip shift is the annoying 1 to 4 shift that forces the shifter to move into 4th gear instead of 2nd when shifting at slow speeds. This stops the shifter from moving on it’s own.
  • This will not cause a SES (Service Engine Soon) light, but the CAGS light will still light when the computer deems the shift is necessary.
  • Fits 93-14 Camaro 97-14 C5 C6 C7 Corvette See photo 2 for location to plug in CAGS eliminator. Photo 2 is looking forward at the transmission and diff from above to the left, should give you a clear idea of the skip shift solenoid’s location. Unplug the connector from the solonoid and plug your CAGS eliminator into the harness on the vehicle. That’s all there is to it!

  1. Works perfectly. Michigan Motorsports responded quickly to my order. CAGS bypass fit perfectly. Installed mine on a 2017 Camaro SS 1LE. Location of CAGS is on drivers side above area of transmission temperature sensor. I used a long slotted screwdriver to gently pry the clip, pulled gently on wire harness to remove. Installation, connect bypass to loose wire first, then feed connector up to CAGS solenoid, using long screwdriver, push plug to align, then gently enough to engage clip. You should hear a…

  2. 2018 Camaro 1SS 1LE Best mod so far 1- it works2- the DIC still shows the ship shift prompt so u know when it would have forced u to shift, very rewarding.3- I have no idea how people installed this without a lift. It isn’t technically hard but the positions u have to apply pressure from are tricky. Me and a buddy at a local tire shop had a hard time installing it with a lift.

  3. Easy install, works great, no check engine light, and great price Installed this on my 2000 WS6 Trans Am. Obviously has something to do with the way I drive, but I thought an eliminator had already been installed because I drove the car for 3 years before I saw the skip shift light come on for the first time and I was forced to go from 1st to 4th. After that it happened more frequently, but my commute is 2 hours of inching along in bumper to bumper traffic which is where I mostly encountered the skip shift. Had the car off the ground anyway to change the…
