Optima 3 yr warranty not honored This battery was selected to replace a Subaru Outback 2013 OEM battery, and one of the main selling points was certainly the 3 yr replacement warranty offered by Optima. Problems first started surfacing around 2 years after purchase when we occasionally had to get the car jumped. The battery finally failed about 2.25 yrs after purchase.   2. Optima battery for a 2014 Subaru Outback This battery was used to replace the original OEM unit, which was starting to sound weak. The Florida heat just kills vehicle batteries.Battery arrived on time and was extremely well packaged. Installed in my Outback with no fitment issues. Used the supplied plastic spacer for the bottom of the new battery to attain the correct height. Battery fits perfect with the stock mounting bracket.

  3. probably OK, still testing … Right now this battery is in the house on a charger. A few weeks ago it died completely after the car wasn’t used for a month. I charged it then and have been watching it almost daily since. It charges to 12.65 volts, then after 2 days of non use (in the car) it drops to 12.41V. Maybe the car is draining energy from it while sitting(?) So now I’m doing further tests to see how long until voltage drops when it is completely disconnected.The price of this top rated battery at Amazon…
