Original incandescent bulbs were brighter. Warning to all: If they don’t work, check polarity. I bought the red LED set to replace the original incandescent dome bulbs of my Chevy HHR 2008. All 4 came in the package in excellent condition. Warning: If you install these bulbs and don’t work, switch the sides around and they should work. These bulbs have positive and negative polarity sides. They work fine, but my only complain is that they are not as bright as they are shown in the picture above. Fits ALL interior overhead lights in 2004 Explorer 17 yo son hated the stock white lights in his 2004 Explorer, so he begged for these. Per the vehicle fit checker, these would have limited usage, so I was skeptical but got them anyway. For less than $10, he would shut up if they didn’t fit. They fit all of the interior overhead light fixtures, and I need another pack to finish the job. He is super pleased, and the whole family was impressed by the transformation at his grand Reveal. He will be the coolest kid in the Junior class now.
They don’t all work. Only 2 of the 4 bulbs worked, hence the 2 stars. I needed all 4 bulbs, so it’s incredibly disappointing. The 2 that do work, however, look great. I installed them in my 2003 Harley Davidson edition F150, to match my pink and black seat covers (yes, I’m THAT blingy redneck gal). The color is a pinkish purple, but it looks good regardless.If all 4 bulbs worked, I’d give them 5 stars. They’re just that cool.
