Good sound for 4″ speakers, one broke after a year. These speakers sound pretty good — much better than the stock speakers they replaced in my 2006 Yamaha Venture. The speakers can produce much more volume when paired with a Clarion 300 watt amp, but don’t expect a lot of bass from these, or any other 4″ speakers.Lower rating because of the 4 speakers I purchased, 1 died after just over a year of limited use. POLK AUDIO IMPRESSES AGAIN! I purhased these knowing exactly what to expect from Polk. I also purchased knowing what performance I would get from a 4″ speaker. Of course these do not have thump (they’re 4″ for crying out loud!), but what they do give is extremely crisp vocals, and they sound far superior to the Pioneers I had. I just don’t think you can find a better 4 inch speaker at any price very clear and full sound for its size.
