Let there be power! Bought this for our 2013 Tahoe 5.3L. This was the cheaper alternative to the popular more expensive tuners. Ohhh its so nice to have a whole engine available with no hesitation and much better throttle response. Other reviewers have stated that it killed their battery after the vehicle sat for a couple of days… well the box clearly states that if the vehicle is not to be driven, then the device should be removed because it may cause parasitic draw on some vehicles. I hated the way my 2017 Chevy Silverado drove without this … I hated the way my 2017 Chevy Silverado drove without this product installed. I put aftermarket exhaust on my truck and every time it shifted down into the AFM 4 cylinder mode the truck bogged down terribly . Terrible drone from the exhaust system inside the cab. It ran like crap to put it bluntly. I put this product on the truck runs like it is supposed to no more of the 4 cylinder nonsense. If I wanted a 4 cylinder truck I would have bought a 4 cylinder truck. The mileage is very close…
Buy Direct from Range Technology Site Unit seemed to work on first drive then did not keep engine in V8 mode. I believe item was older version of Range Technologies firmware. Bought new one direct from Range with the latest firmware and works perfectly. If you want the EFM disable device buy direct from Range Technology web site to ensure you get latest software.Amazon should not fulfill this product for this seller IMHO.
