Skip it. Too many issues. Terrible quality control! 1 bulb worked but the tail light was very dim. Barely visible. The other was reverse polarity. It would require rewiring the socket, then if it quit you would have to rewire the socket again to use a ‘true’1157’ bulb.
You MAY need to install a load resistor with these. I didn’t have to. These worked perfectly as standard brake light bulb replacements in my 2006 Honda CR-V. You may need a load resistor if these are in a circuit that flashes (turn signal) or a circuit that has a dead bulb detector. They flash, then stay on solid. They are bright and attention grabbing which I think is great in this age of distracted drivers.
