Great filter I have used this filter before , so I don’t expect to have any issues with this filter. I bought this filter to have on hand, so when my truck needs an oil change I would have it. It DID NOT have any rust on it any where, inside or outside. I only say that because I have seen reviews were other people have had rust on the inside of the filter and you should not use them if that’s the case. Corvette 87 5.7L L98 Engine I feel a huge difference in the change of speed in track, of course i put in my engine a Royal Purple oil 10w-40 and it feel a huge speed without the agressive knock of change of speed in the transmission by the force that is applies by my engine, and applies this parameters in speed of 180 km/h(112 mph) and low speed of 40km/h(25 mph), and my engine L98 responds its a lot much better.
Seal leaked This filter leaked. I could not get a good seal. I attempted to remove and clean the surfaces again and yet it still gave me trouble. I didn’t attempt to over tighten as I didn’t want to use a hammer and screw driver to remove it later. I am very surprised as I have always been very pleased with Royal Purple products.
