Way better than the garbage they sell at the parts store! This paint is amazing! Forget that Duplicolor lacquer crap they sell at the local parts store. I used this to restore the scraped-up trim on my car (along with SEM 1K clear) and was flabbergasted with how perfect the end result was. The spray pattern is such that it’s meant for painting larger areas than I needed it for (would’ve worked well for painting a fender or quarter panel.) I’d say it was a 4″ to 5″ fan, so there was a bit of overspray. That being said, I would not hesitate…
The repaired area looks like new and the paint is a perfect match I scraped the rim of my Corvette and was looking for paint that matched the black paint on the rims. I sanded the area, filled the small gauges with body filler, primed, painted and the clear coated it. Then I went sanded with 1000 grit and polished the area. The repaired area looks like new and the paint is a perfect match. If done right you can’t go wrong with this paint. The key is to prep, paint and blend and polish and it will look great.
