   Purchased these covers for my sbc rebuild. Removed them from the package to find rust forming in the crevices of the covers, and one of the screw posts had fallen off (bad welds). With poor quality like this I’m not willing to chance these valve covers potentially ruining my heads while in operation.

   When I bought these they were a bargain at about $20, which is less than I paid for some nasty originals at a junkyard, and less than I found anywhere else, including summit racing or jegs. They look good and I have no complaints about the finish. They are made of pretty hefty steel, and fit well. The only problem I had was that one of the oil filler/vent holes still had the flashing on from when it was stamped. The new grommet would not fit because the metal extended to far down and needed to be cut back. I probably could have just returned them for a different set, but it was an easy fix for anyone with a die grinder. I just trimmed it back myself and used them.

   Easily installed,clean proper fit.One issue that,for the money,didnt affect my rateing- PCV valve hole was in the wrong position on the valve cover for a corvette,but a very quick fix was a longer PCV valve hose and dosnt affect the look or fit of the cover so I’m completely happy.
