Spectre’s Engine Oil Dipstick was designed to fit 1980-1996 small block Chevrolet engines. Built to OEM specifications, this dipstick features a gold iridite stick and chrome tube and handle. Needs lots of massaging and love to make it work! The tab where it bolts to the block popped off before I even got it started. The tube was to big, so I filed and used sand paper to remover about .020″ on all but the last half inch of tube. It installed just fine then. I put the tab back on (backwards) and crushed it so that it was a tight fit around the tube. That way I could clock the tube the way I wanted and the tube is captured and secure. Now it works, it looks good and I don’t have to wait for a replacement.
Thanks for the shiny paper weight. Not at all satisfied. Was advertiesed as fitting small block 350 from 1980-1996 it does not. So my 1994 LT1 small block 350 remains dipstick less. Id bother to return it but I’d rather keep it and remind my customers not to by it.
