   It is brighter than the original factory one on the car. A good compromise between dim original factory and the overally bright intense white light bulb. I like this bulb better than the overally bright intense white light bulb because the intense white light bulb has a short lamp life and is expensive to buy. Also, in the surrounding darkness, the intense white light actually decrease depth perception and objects contrast because it intensely illuminate only in one direction (forward); similar to when you take a flash photo at night without additional surrounding illumination.

   Initial impression is that these bulbs light the roadway slightly better than the stock bulb in my Honda Odyssey. The difference could be because I am comparing a brand new bulb to one that is over 5 years old. The price however made the choice a no brainer as the XtraVision was nearly the same price as buying the stock item from my local store. On the Osram Sylvania website, it says that the primary filament life of the 9006 bulb is 850 hours as opposed to 1000 hours for the standard bulb. If they last as claimed it’s worth it. Just FYI, as per the Osram Sylvania website, SilverStar Ultra should last 300 hours, SilverStar zXe and SilverStar 200 hours, XtraVision 850 hours, EcoBright 725 hours and the Standard bulb 1000 hours.

   Install was not the easiest buy not overly difficult. Remember to never touch the glass portion of the bulb with your fingers as this type on contamination could severly decrease the life of the bulb.

   These bulbs are about twice as bright as the stock bulbs that came with my car. I took a before and after picture with my Nikon DSLR and the ISO setting dropped in about half. I may have gone with the even brighter Silverstar but the lifespan concerned me. I would recommend these to replace stock bulbs.
