1998 C5 Corvette trunk struts R2. (Remove and Replace) Awesome! 1998 C5. Trunk pops right up 🙂 Flip of the wrist and the trunk opens wide amd stays put!DO NOT MANIPUTE THE CLIPS ON THE NEW STRUTS.Use a screw driver to loosen the clips on the old struts and pop off the ball joint…upper first. Once those are off, the new struts snap right on :)Replace one at a time to avoid smashing your melon or having to prop the trunk lid open.Good luck ð
2006 C6 Corvette Convertible Trunk Lid Worked flawlessly. Open trunk lid all the way. Slide a small flat-head driver into the small rounded tabs where the ball joint is on the ones that are there and pull off with a bit of pressure. Should slide off. Take the new ones out of plastic wrapping and orient them the same way as the factory ones. Then just push with a bit of pressure and they should pop on easily. Worked great on my setup to finally open the trunk lid enough to get my hand in there. I wish they made the trunk lid lighter…
These worked on my 2000 Corvette Convertible perfectly. I figured that the reviews on this product were right. They were!
