… read a few reviews that this product wasn’t as good as say 3m 1080 I read a few reviews that this product wasn’t as good as say 3m 1080, I must say in some ways it’s better!I build race cars and we use the 1080 a lot on things like giving an aluminum dash some color or adding a few details like the a-pillar on the C7 corvette and it works pretty well.My hobby however is building racing sims and this one my son and I agreed needed to be wrapped in carbon. MDF is famously known to be dusty and I was afraid it wouldn’t stick and at the price 3M…
Not for beginners. Well, at least I can say we tried! As first timer’s we probably should have used a different product to wrap my Miata hardtop. It didn’t go well. Apparently, from what I’ve learned since, this is not the stuff for beginners. We found the vinyl rather brittle and too tacky to work with. It ultimately ended up stretching upon trying to lift it to remove air. Since then, I’ve had it professionally done and it looks great.
Nice Thick Material I am docking one star from this because the material was a bit difficult to work with and it didn’t soften up super easy when warmed. It’s not quite as flexible as some others I have used but it does stay well once you get it stuck down. I was using it for a purpose other than intended so that may be why. I actually used it to cover a custom made privacy panel on a desk.
