I plan on buying the stock cables since Taylor Cable does not seem to have good customer service I installed these on my 2007 Tahoe to replace the factory cables, however, the boots make contact with the stock headers shields. I immediately called Taylor Cable, left a message and I have not gotten a call back. It has been almost four weeks.If engineered properly they should not be touching the shields. 8 just like it was supposed to Fit my 08 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8 just like it was supposed to. I couldn’t say if they are any better than stock since my truck needed new wires (147,xxx miles on the original OEM wires) and plugs anyways. Runs smooth with them on though.
